  • Diegetic, the sound of the water splashing up against the waves. Non-diegetic, a nice song comes on opening up the sense. Medium long shot, the setting starts with a shot from far away. High key lighting, it starts out bright.
  • long shot, camera angle from a distance. Zoom, zooms in on him as he comes closer to the back of the ship. Diegetic, the character can hear his own footsteps and the water. cut, as the scene translates to the next.
  • Eye level, the scene is taken at eye level. Zoom, it zooms in on the back of the ship. Medium long shot, the scene starts at a ways away showing his whole body. Pan, as he walks to the back, the camera looks back too.
  • Tilt, The camera tilts down into the water. Diegetic, the sound of the water around the camera when it goes into the water. Non-diegetic, the sound of music gives clues that something is about to happen. Cut, the scene cuts onto the next scene.
  • Eye level, the camera is at eye level. Tilt, the camera tilts down as he falls in the water. Cut, the scene cuts as it turns to the next scene. Diegetic, The sounds of his scream.
  • Close up, shows a close up of the man. Non-diegetic, the sound of shocking music as he falls. Diegetic, the splash of the man falling in the water and the man screaming. Pan, as the man falls in, the camera looks for him as he is not coming up until awhile later.
