  • Jane is traveling to her roommates house for break, she must make sure that she has enough insulin supplies for the duration of the trip.
  • Jane's roommate's parents ask her if she is allowed to eat sweets, a common misconception of people without T1D.
  • Jane makes sure to exercise regularly, it is important to stay active to keep blood sugar levels in a regular range.
  • When Jane eats she must be aware of what goes into the food, carb intake must be counted in order to calculate how much insulin to be administered.
  • T1D affects all types of people and is a life long disease, JDRF helps to connect people together who have T1D.
