How I became a reader
My mother always read stories to be as a child. I especially loved bedtime stores together!
In preschool I could remember a story and would recite it back. I loved to share what I thought was "reading."
In Kindergarten I began reading on my own. Dr. Seuss was my favorite!
Honors English required lots of reading, including summer assignments. Luckily 8th-12th grade helped prepare me for college.
I continue to use my reading skills at work, both as a therapist and as a college instructor. Reading is good for the brain!
As an adult, I love going to to park with my husband and dogs along with a good book. We both love reading and find it to be a wonderful way to relax!
