Black Sunday, Black Sunday was a terrible event that was years ago.
Catherine Hatturp and her family experienced it.
There were loads of prairie grass that the town thought was indestructible until they found out it wasn't.
And when they stared to rip them out it caused a effect for the dirt to become lose so, when a large wind came it picked up all the dirt and it became the "black Sunday"
some people moved away and some people stayed and the people that stayed prayed and hoped for the best. People tried to plant trees but it didn't work. Couple years later it started to get better.
now Catherine is 91 years old now and she still remembers the horrific moment of black Sunday.
