Storyboard Text

  • 2nd Semester: Quantitative Research
  • Okay class. So for this semester, we are going to tackle quantitative research. What do you know about quantitative research?
  • I should have read during the break...
  • Ma'am!!!
  • Quantitative? Is it related to qualitative?
  • 2nd Semester: Quantitative Research
  • Yes Mike! What can you tell about quantitative research? And how can you differentiate it from qualitative research?
  • Quantitative research is more commonly used in hard sciences like Physics and Chemistry, though you can still use it for social sciences such as sociology. Qualitative research, on the other hand, is used more in Humanities and social sciences because it tries to describe behaviours and experiences.
  • Miss!!!
  • Oh wait! I remember something about this.
  • It involves gathering data and measuring them through the use of quantities or numbers. Quantitative research gives more importance to numbers while qualitative research values words to describe the data.
  • 2nd Semester: Quantitative Research
  • Very good Mike! A brief yet concise answer. Yes Max, what can you add to what Mike just said?
  • Wow! My classmates are so smart, I'm starting to get it now.
