Compound Microscope? Hey that's my idea!
Robert Hooke is an English scientist who is responsible for the term "Cell" because it resembled the cell where a monk would reside. He discovered it through a cork. A great scientist mainly because of his numerous contributions in different fields of Science.
I am excited to present the "Cell" to my colleagues in the House of Royals!
I HATE ISAAC NEWTON!!! HE STOLE MY IDEAS IN PHYSICS!!!
The first to observe a living cell was Anton van Leeuwenhoek. He built his own microscope and through it he saw what is now the sperm cells. He named bacteria as "Animalcules" because they're shaped like animals
"Animacules" are animal-shaped! They are living!
Matthias Schleiden. He said that "Plants are made up of cells"
Hmm,if cells are in living things then plants are technically living things so PLANTS MUST HAVE CELLS!
Theodore Schwann. Same with Schleiden he said that animals are also made up of cells
I agree with my colleague right here Schleiden that everything that is living has cells so that also means animals also are made up of cells
Rudolf Virchow. He proposed that cells only come from pre-existing cells. Does not believe in spontaneous generation.
