- Zeus, Poseidon and Hades were the sons of Kronos and rulers of the Skies, the Seas, and the Underworld.
- Next ...
- Hades came to a point where his loneliness almost drove him insane, so he decided to find himself a bride. Hades sprung up from the ground and kidnapped Persephone, the daughter of Demeter
- So ...
- Demeter cried out to Zeus and refused to give the world and the Olympians crops and corn. Zeus then heard the suffering of the humans and the Olympians and decided to intervene.
- Finally ...
- Zeus demanded the release of Persephone from Hades, but not before Hades tricked her into eating food from the underworld, pomegranate seeds , temporarily trapping Persephone with Hades.
- So for a short time, Persephone was reunited with her mother once again.
- When Persephone is with Lord Hades of the Underworld, everything is dark and gloomy, and there is a harsh, winter cold. When she is with the Goddess, Demeter, the season blooms and there is warm,weather and sunny skies .These are how the seasons were made.
