For Aboriginals, it was a Day Of Mourning. A day of protest.
William Cooper one of the founders of Aboriginal Protection Association (APA) He fought for Aboriginal civil rights. It was the first mass civil rights gathering for Aboriginals. From there forward the Aboriginal protested through a march, for a new policy of equality and full citizen status for Aboriginal Australian's, while still keeping their own traditions.
