On Pesach you should eat an ounce of maror but if it is to hard then you are allowed to eat a kezait which is about 3/4 of an ounce.

One should dip the maror in charoset, then shale some of it off. You should not scoop the charoset onto the maror
On peach you should use romain lettuce and not just lettuce because the point of maror is that it's sweet at the beginning and bitter at the end but lettuce isn't bitter at all.
The Charoset is supposed to represent the mortar and bricks the jews had to use to build the things that the Egyptians waned them to build.
The maror is supposed to represent the bitter life we had as slaves in Egypt.
In order for maror to be maror is has to come from the ground and not a tree and it must be veggie.
