During Feudal times in Europe people had different roles in society. Lets have a look at them!
Vassals were under control of a lord or King and provided protection for each in exchange for land, known as a fief.
Knights served their Lord as military protectors of their land. They also were an armored cavalry unit.
The King or some high upper class nobles were in demand for protection. They go to a lord for protection in exchange for land. This began the cycle of the feudal system
The clergy was a group of religious figures such as bishops and priests. They were not rich by any means and some had different privileges than others. The monks were teachers, and bishops lived with nobles.
Peasants were the least appreciated member of the feudal system, despite providing food. They lived in small towns on the lords manor, usually made with stone and straw. Most only had one pair of clothing and children were forced to work at a young age.
