This storyboard does not have a description.
"Please don't touch the cucumber sandwiches. They are ordered specially for Aunt Augusta. [Takes on and eats it] (page 9)"- Algernon states that the cucumber sandwiches are for his Aunt only but then he eats them right after he states this. This is a good example of verbal irony.
"Well, if you want to know, Cecily happens to be my aunt (page 11)"- The audience later finds out that not only is Cecily a woman of younger age, but she is not his aunt either! This is a good example of situational irony because we later find out that Cecilh refers to Jack as her uncle.
"With pleasure, Miss Prism, with pleasure. We might go as far as the schools and back (page 45)."- The audience later finds out that Dr. Chasuble, the man who said this, loves Miss Prism. This is a good example of dramatic irony. We know how Dr. Chasuble feels about Miss Prism, while Miss Prism doesn't know.
"Your brother Ernest dead (page 51)?"- Jack never had a brother in the first place (up to this point), he really made this person up to get away. This is an example of Dramatic Irony as the audience knows that Jack doesn't have a brother as of right now while the characters think that he does.
"But we will not be the first to speak... Mr. Worthing, I have something very particular to ask you. Much depends on your reply (page 86)."
"On the contrary, Aunt Augusta, I've now realised for the first time in my life the vital Importance of Being Earnest
