So, our football team has gained 32 yards. How would I do the process to figure that out?
Well, for starters you have to think of the process, y/2+16=32
So , you start by using the inverse property of subtraction. Subtract 16 yards from the original 16 yds gained, while being fair and subtracting 16 from 32.
So you have y/2=16. The next play, we lost half of the amount we gained originally. Multiply y/2 by 2/1. Also do 16/1*2/1, which will give you 32. y=32
Gee Coach Smithers, thanks!
I'll be the smartest kid on the team now!
