Nine year old Tutankhamen the son of Akhenaten sets out to change his father's work
Tutankhamen's father was incredibly unpopular. during his father's rule the head god had been Amun, and the capital had been Thebes which was filled with temples dedicated to Amun. Akhenaten declared Aten the head god and moved the capital to Akhentaten (The city of Aten) which was filled with temples for aten
King Tutankhamen whose original name was Tutankhaten which means "Living Image of Aten" was changed by himself to mean "Living Image of Amun" fairly little was accomplished during his reign, except for moving te capitol back to Thebes and reinstating Amun as the head God. some studies suggest that Tutankhamen was likely a puppet ruler, and tha his death might have been brought about by his advisors when he started to make his own decisions
Other theories on Tutankhamen's death include that he died of malaria, and that he died om being inbred because all Egyptian royal couples were related to preserve the royal blood.
Despite his relativily eventless rule king Tutankhamen is the most well known ruler now due to his tomb and the curse around it.
