Today I am going to talk to you about Black Sunday.
Hello! My name is Professor Dumbledore. My job is to teach historical events in the U.S.
It's a tragic story of the worst dust storm in the U.S. Let's go outside and talk about this event.
Let's attend the theater. I heard their playing a document about Black Sunday. I'll teach about it,too
The document is starting, I think I should talk about this event now. It all started in the Southern Plains. There prairie grass covered. These grass were practically indestructible. Until when the U.S government wanted to fill these plains with crops. Well the document ended, let's research in the library.
So, after the settlers arrived they ripped out the grass using their hands and machines. When they start planting crops, it was a perfect time for them when rain was plentiful. This is when we can meet a witness of the dust storm named Catherine Hattrup.
This Catherine Hattrup, let's interview her.
Well, I thought the world was coming to an end. I was at my grandma's and she came running in, told me there a black cloud. It was enormous like it was always nighttime, and cover everywhere. But of all the hard times, I learned a valuable lesson that we should be thankful for everything.
Can you tell me about Black Sunday
