I was surprised that the Amendment was passed by the Senate on April 18, 1864, but the House of Representatives didn't pass it until January 21, 1865.
This Amendment helped our nation when it abolished slavery on April 18, 1864.
The 13th Amendment was abolished
It was passed down by the Senate and by the House of Representatives.
It was ratified in December 6, 1865.
