  • In this scene,Les Goodman's car started on its own and everybody accused him of being the monster.Les Goodman denies it but no one believed him.
  • In this scene,Charlie blamed Tommy of being the monster. Then, the neighbors started blaming on one another and a fight broke out.
  • He's the monster!
  • This scene supports the theme ,fear and suspicion are destructive forces, because Charlie shot the mysterious figure.HE shot it because he was afraid and scared of the figure. He thinks that it might kill him and the people around him so he shot it.Charlie should have been more careful and should have waited to see who the figure was instead of shooting it.This is why this scene supports the theme.
  • Les Goodman's car started on its own.Immediately,Everyone started blaming on him of being the monster. He claims that he is not the monster but no one believed him. Then, a woman said that she sees him every night, standing on his porch and looking up at the sky waiting for something.Les Goodman says that he has insomnia so he does that everyday. This supports the theme because the group jumped to conclusion right away and could've asked him why he does it everyday instead of pushing him until he snaps and gets mad at everybody
  • After Charlie accused Tommy of being a monster, the neighbors accused one another of being the monster with LITTLE to no evidence of them being the monster. They were scared and didn't know what to do so they fought each other. This scene supports the them that fear and suspicion are destructive forces because they were suspicious of one another and in the end, they turned on each others. What they could've done was to calm down and talk about it carefully ,trying to figure out who the monster is ,and shouldn't have believed Tommy's story.
