  • I am John Wilkes Booth, a loyal confederate and assassin of Abraham Lincoln. Can we ask of your assistance for our escape.
  • Both Booth and Herold hadspent a few days at the Garrett house. One night then men heard the sound of horses, it was the manunters! Booth and Herold along with the assistance of the Garrett kids got into the tobacco house. Right before the men went in however, Herold said something to Booth.
  • Booth i wnat you to know that I am willing to die for you. If the manhunters trap us in here I want you to escape. I will surrender myself to the manhunters while you get out through the back of the barn.
  • As expected, the manhunters asked for both men. Except Herold was the only one that came out. Herold distracted the soldiers by struggling with them. Booth succesfully escaped out the back of the barn without anyone seeing them.
  • Booth had did it! Booth went undiscovered for the rest of his life. No one ever found him or his body. The government however covered up the fact they never found him, and said thatr David Herold was John Wilkes Booth. Everybody became settled after learning that "John Wilkes Booth" was killed at the scene. And that is how John Wilkes Booth escaped the manhunt and assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
  • This is why I am the greatest American ever! Bye!
