  • Old Major calls a meeting and shares his vision. Birth of new philosophy - Animalism.
  • Equality, Freedom!
  • Old Major dies 3 days later - Animals rebel and chase Mr. Jones away.
  • Heehaw, heehaw!!!
  • Don't come back!
  • Help!! - I'm being attacked - get away from me!
  • 'Manor Farm' changes to 'Animal Farm' - 7 Commandments of Animalism adopted. Snowball teaches others to read & write.
  • 1...two legs is an enemy. 2... four legs ...wings is a friend. 3. No animal shall wear clothes. 4...shall sleep in a bed. 5...shall drink alcohol. 6...shall kill any other animal. 7. All animals are equal.
  • Jones tries to reclaim farm - loses "The Battle of the Cowshed." Snowball suggests building a windmill. Napoleon challenges his leadership. Squealer spreads propaganda to discredit Snowball.
  • Be warned Snowball - take a hike and never come back or else you'll become bacon - Grrrr!!!
  • Napoleon takes credit for the windmill idea. The animals work very hard to build it.
  • Napoleon's power increases as animals face starvation. Hens stage protest - all in opposition are executed. A new windmill is built - destroyed by Frederick.
  • Boxer is hurt - sold to a knacker (glue boiler) unaware.
  • "The Battle of the Windmill"
  • Pigs are fully in charge -name changed back to Manor Farm & "Beasts of England' is replaced by an anthem glorifying Napoleon. Animals still believe they are better off than they were when under Mr Jones.
  • Years later, life is still the same for animals except pigs who assume human traits. Napoleon forges alliance with local farmers.
  • All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.
