Oxygen and Hydrogen were at the fun park, and they decided to share the electrons together. They created a Covalent Bond by sharing the electrons.
Now, Hydrogen was not a big fan of sharing, so she thought to herself.
What if, we share the electrons for a while, fill our octect, but then keep them all to myself. I am Brilliant!
So the covalent bond continued, and Hydrogen and Oxygen were happy about having their octect filled. But Hydrogen was impatient, waiting for the perfect chance to come.
HA HA HA HA!
And the perfect moment came. She waited until Oxygen buckled up, and got the electrons from his hands. Then she ran away.
Hey, don't leave me here alone. Do not break our Covalent Bond!
Sorry... Now bye bye!
She arrived home and went up to so she and the electrons would be alone.
While Oxygen was so sad that he was left alone at a fun park, without his octect full.
