I'm winning first this year
You signing up for the may day races?
Only 6 competeing this year... If only Squeaky would let someone else win for a change....
Squeaky is walking with Raymond, her older brother with some sort of disability.
They run into Gretchen, who is with Mary and Rosie, who always has something to say about Raymond, turns out Gretchen is running the race coming up later.
Squeaky is getting ready for the races, arriving just in time to get her number pinned, so she lays down and waits for the races to start. She learns only 6 will be competing this year.
The race is starting! Squeaky lines up at the starting line, she feels herself flying across the beach, as the race starts.
Squeaky takes the early lead, with Gretchen close behind, when she notices Raymond running at her pace, almost next to her.
Squeaky wins, then thinks about how Raymond would make a fine runner. Then thinks how Gretchen would be a good coach with her.
