Scrooge before his ordeal
Scrooge after his ordeal
Before Scrooge's encounter with Marley's ghost and the three spirits, he was a very bitter, greedy, selfish, old man . His only priority in life was to save as much money as he could. He went through every day living, but without knowing what it actually means to live, and was unhappy even if he couldn't see it.
After Scrooge's humbling experience, he had a major wake-up call and changed his ways. He learned to appreciate every aspect of life.
Scrooge's nephew is a good-hearted and kind young man and was wholly disappointed when his uncle poo pooed the meaning of christmas and his invitation to dinner. However, he forgave his uncle for everything he had said because he was just happy that Scrooge had decided to show up, and he was glad that his uncle had somehow opened his eyes to the world around him.
