  • I just turned 18! I can finally vote!!
  • We are free to say whatever we want, practice whatever religion we want and hold a petition if we so choose!
  • Hi, I'm President Barack Obama and I am only allowed to serve a two-term presidency. Thanks FDR.
  • In 1970, The United States passed the 26th Amendment stating at the age of 18, you can vote! This mainly was brought on by the Vietnam war in the early 60's.
  • The 1st Amendment states that everybody has the freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly and petition. This amendment is a part of the Bill of Rights and mainly was created to calm the fears of the anti-federalists.
  • The 22nd amendment was created to ensure that each President elected into office was only allowed to serve two-terms (8 years). This was because Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected 4 terms and they did not want the power of being President, abused.
