We are free to say whatever we want, practice whatever religion we want and hold a petition if we so choose!
Hi, I'm President Barack Obama and I am only allowed to serve a two-term presidency. Thanks FDR.
In 1970, The United States passed the 26th Amendment stating at the age of 18, you can vote! This mainly was brought on by the Vietnam war in the early 60's.
The 1st Amendment states that everybody has the freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly and petition. This amendment is a part of the Bill of Rights and mainly was created to calm the fears of the anti-federalists.
The 22nd amendment was created to ensure that each President elected into office was only allowed to serve two-terms (8 years). This was because Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected 4 terms and they did not want the power of being President, abused.
