Storyboard Text

  • Hello. My name is Jackie and today we will be learning about my journey through the reproductive system.
  • Let me tell you a little bit about myself. As you can see there are many others that are just like me. I am generated in the testes.
  • The testicles, or the testes, generates the sperm (I am one of the 1500 sperm cells produced per second) as well as testosterone, which helps develop the spem cells
  • This is the epididymis. It is in charge of transporting and storing the sperm cells produced by the testes. It allows sperm cells to mature.
  • We have to be cooler than the testes!
  • The scrotum acts like a "climate control" system for the testes. This is where we develop.
  • The vas deferens transfers the mature sperm to the urethra in preparation for ejaculation.
