Storyboard Text

  • Vaishvi needs to decide on a college to go to after high school.
  • To decide what college is best for me, I need to look at the college's majors, distance from home, tuition, avg. ACT, SAT scores and GPA, and if it is a public or private university.
  • collegeboard.com + usnews.com
  • I'm going to gather my information using collegeboard and usnews.com to look for information on best colleges and grad schools. I'll also use Google Maps to figure out college distances from home.
  • I need you help on deciding on a college. The main things I am looking at are the acceptance rates, distancefrom home, and best programs offered
  • I made this table to compare my alternatives
  • Great Research, Primary Care, Business and Engineering
  • Duke
  • 2-3 hour drive
  • 12%
  • Great Primary Care Programs
  • Chapel Hill
  • 2.5 hour drive
  • 30%
  • Great in Medicine, Research, Engineering, Law, Business
  • 5 hour flight
  • 5%
  • Stanford
  • Stanford has all the programs since I'm undecided but only problem is it's a 5 hour flight from home and has a REALLY LOW acceptance rate
  • Duke has great research, primary care, business and engineering programs, and is only 2-3 hours from home. It has a low acceptance rate but I think you can handle it.
  • UNC at Chapel Hill has a great primary care program, is only 2 and half hours from home, has has a much better acceptance rate.
  • I decided that I am going to go to Duke University.
  • You're the one who is going so it's your choice.
