  • Hi! Mrs. Smith, I was just wondering what career I can do as a career option when I leave high school, and I am meaning to ask you some questions about becoming a Professional writer.
  •  Well, Violet, you came to the right place! I will ask all the questions you tell me, so go ahead! Tell me what you want to know about being a writer. 
  • To begin, what type of research do you need to have in order to plan out what to write about if you are a writer? 
  • Well, let's start with the basics! First, A great way to know what research to find is to use your comprehensive skills in your writing as you brainstorm. This will help you in school like in English class! ("Writing for Success"). 
  • Also, make sure to follow basic structure with your researching of your topic to outline the intro, evidence. ("Good academic Writing").

  • Well, Violet, don't forget to not let your words get in the way of your ideas and topics as you brainstorm and as you develop your topic. ("Guidelines for senior the thesis, by Walter McDougall").
  • Ok, thanks for the info Mrs. Smith for me to brainstorm my topic, this is really helpful, but I have another question, What are some creative and witty things you can do to improve your writing style?

  • Also, what you can do to make your writing interesting and creative is to use sentence variety ie different sentence structures to avoid repetition ("Writing for Success").

  • Violet, make sure to address your topic clearly to the reader as you write, have an array of ideas, use verbs and adverbs, also adverbs modify weaker verbs. ("Good academic Writing").
