" Break A Leg " Hyperbole
" This classroom is as cold as the North Pole " Metaphor
" I'm sleeping like the dead " Cliche
When they say break a leg people don't actually mean it they say it as in good luck and you'll do great . That's why its hyperbole because it is a exaggerating statement.
This is a metaphor because it is a comparison of two things that aren't alike in the sense in were a classroom can't really be as cold as the North Pole it's just not possible, but it has a similarity which is the coldness.
When they say sleeping like the dead they mean that you are a person who is difficult to wake up and is a heavy sleeper.
