Whew, the journey across the Alps sure was exhausting! Looking at the landscape of Italy from there, I realized that Italy was surrounded by water on 3 sides! I never knew that Italy was a peninsula!
And this must be the Po river valley. It looks very fertile and good for farming. It also has the Po river which would provide people with water.
Wow, more mountains? These must be the Apennines. My sister wasn't joking when she said that Italy was mountainous! These would serve as a great military defense in time of war.
oh, how I'd like to live here....
Finally I have reached the Tiber River, the river which is closest to Rome. This is where the Romans get their water from.
Finally, I have reached Rome. What a wonderful city this is!
