People pollute whole country by trash such as PLASTIC BOTTLES!!!
Breaks down PET into terephthalic acid ethylene glycol
Some parts of the sea are completely cover by plastic bags for example Hondorus.
Scientists discovered new bacteria called Ideonella sakaiensis which is able to eat plastic bottles.
Ideonella sakaiensis breaks down the Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) into terephathalic acid ethylene glyol than it eats the terephathalic acid and ethyle glycol.

But is the bacteria safe for the world? It can be rapidly reproduced and we can easily lost control over it. It can completely destroyed whole world!!
For now the bacteria is in hands of scientist and it is still used only for scientistic experiments.
