  • EFFECT: ANGER OF COLONISTS
  • You need to provide us with all our needs right now. We own your house and your money now. The law also supports us.
  • THEY HAVE NO RIGHT DO THIS!
  • CAUSE: TEA ACT
  • BUY OUR BRITISH TEA TAX FREE
  • YES, then even the colonists won't make any revenue from their tea
  • Make the British tea cheaper so that we can earn money
  • EFFECT: BOSTON TEA PARTY
  • We have to create a protest this time more serious
  • Dress all men as natives and bring them to the East India Company's ships
  • We going throw all their tea into the harbor.
  • This act made the American colonists very angry as their opinion on this law was not considered before making the law. The colonists were also very angry as they had to pay taxes for their provisions and barracks and also because they were invading their privacy. (5)
  • CAUSE: INTOLERABLE ACTS (COERCIVE ACTS)
  • We have no choice left, but to close the Boston Harbor due to the Boston Tea Party.
  • This shows that the British Government had made their tea cheaper than the colonist's tea. Therefore, American colonies will stop making revenue from tea as everyone will prefer to buy cheaper tea. Tea Act went into effect on May 10, 1774
  • EFFECT: FIRST CONTINENTAL CONGRESS
  • This shows that in response to the Tea Act, colonists protested and calling it the Boston Tea Party. Many American colonists dressed up natives and boarded 3 East India Company Ships. They then dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor. Boston Tea Party took place on December 16, 1774
  • CONCLUSION: REVOLUTIONARY WAR
  • WAR!!!!
  • ATTACK!!!
  • This shows that the government decided to close all commercial shipping in the Boston Harbor until the colonists greed to start paying taxes for the dumped tea. The money was used to repay the East India Company for their loss in tea. The act went into effect on March, 1774
  • We need to keep the colonists under control.
  • The first continental congress as a meeting by the delegates of different colonies to get a fair debate. The meeting was made to find out different solutions to the intolerable acts. They drafted a "Declaration of Rights'  which includes 10 resolutions to be presented to King George. The first meeting was in Philadelphia in a carpenter's hall on September 5, 1774. The last meeting was on October 26, 1774.
  • We should answer the government using violence.
  • BAN TRADE
  • No, instead we should ban all trade.
  • We agree
  • These causes and effects lead up to the American revolution or the revolutionary war. The colonies and Great Britain were at war from 1775 to 1783. Americans won over the British during this war. In the end the Americans and the French each signed a treaty of independence to Britain. The treaty finally made America independent on September 3, 1783.
