  • At their camp...
  • We can't work in this weather! Brrr...Brrr...
  • Chu, we can't give up! We work hard! We need to help our families and everyone back home. There are 15000 of us. We can do it!
  • Let's sleep, we have to get some rest to work harder.
  • How we survive this weather?
  • Clear everything that's here in this site, this instance. We need to place the tracks. Hurry up!
  • Don't yell at us like that!
  • At the site...
  • We work hard. We want more money!
  • A "special" task for danger pay.
  • Who wants danger pay?
  • Chu, don't! It is very dangerous!
  • Me! I want danger pay!
  • Chu, and his group of friendly workers are gathered around the fire, keeping themselves warm in this severe winter. Many Chinese workers didn't have appropriate clothing and had less food. Most workers died because of suffering from not eating food and cold, harsh weathers.
  • At the cave...
  • I want you to light it up using this carefully and it will blow up.
  • Okay, I do good job. I won't fail.
  • The Chinese workers, are working hard to clear up this site to place tracks. W.C Van Horne is in charge of the railway constriction. English men were strict and were unfair. They give the Chinese workers a small wage and give English workers more that the Chinese workers. English workers didn't do much. Chinese workers had to buy their own gear and English workers were provided with gear.
  • Carefully light the dynamite.
  • Carefully light the dynamite...
  • *Whispers* Chu!!
  • One of W.C Van Horne's assistant is sent to ask the Chinese workers if they wanted danger pay for a dangerous task. When dangerous tasks are done properly, they are given more money. Most of these dangerous tasks involved, blowing up tunnels,and etc.
  • Be careful when you light it up.
  • Pa! I need to get you out.
  • *Whispers* Chu! It's me Pa.
  • I heard voice before...
  • W.C Van Horne hands Chu a candle to light up the dynamite.
  • Chu walks into the cave and listens to his "master's" orders to blow up the cave carefully. Otherwise he can die/injure himself. When performing a dangerous task, many Chinese workers die from this also. No one seem to know where the bodies are.
  • A voice pops out of the roof of the cave. Chu thinks that the voice familiar. The voice is revealed and it is to be Chu's dad.
