Hearing this made Emma very worried and scared. Her mother continued by saying, "Soon he may not be around to play with you anymore, but this is all a part of life and it's something we cannot control. I know you will miss him very much but I want you to remember that he will be in a better place. You need to cherish the memories that you have shared, those will last a lifetime."
Emma's mom decided it was time to talk about what was happening with Grandpa Joe. She sat Emma down and by began saying "Emma, honey I know you've been upset lately the your Grandfather hasn't been around often but he has become very sick."
They talked about all the amazing moments they've shared since Emma was a baby. After a while Grandpa Joe said, "Emma, I want you to know that even though soon I won't physically be here I will always be with you. I never want you to forget how much I love you." "I love you too Grandpa." Emma murmured.
That night,Emma and Grandpa Joe went to the park. After they played they sat down together and talked about what would happen in the near future.
A few nights later, Grandpa Joe had gone to a better place and Emma decided she was ready to go visit his grave.
