Russian Revolution happened in 1914. Russia went into World War with Germany. The working class and the peasants made up the Russian army.
However, the soldiers were not equipped and trained. By 1917, millions of Russian are killed and wounded. People were angry and they blamed Tsar Nicholas II due to Russian involvement to World War I.
When are we getting food?
The February Revolution happened and many people prostested due to the lack of bread. Soldiers weretold to stop the uprising and they shot and kill many people.
Tsar Nicholas II decided to bring the Tsarist to end and new government took over. This government was led by two parties, the provisional government and the Petrograd Soviet.
The Provisional Government also made a choice to remain in the war. However, they failed to give land to the peasants.
Vladimir Lenin, the communist party, had a slogan which is Peace, Bread, and Land. This slogan appeals to every people and the Soviet Union.
