  • Why?
  • The legislative branch makes the laws. To balance the powers of small and large states, the framers set up the Congress as a bicameral, or two chamber, legislature. The two chambers are the Senate and the House of Representatives.
  • Article 4 - Full Faith and Credit
  • Are you married?
  • As chief executive, the president is the head of the largest branch of the federal government. Under the Constitution, the president and the rest of the executive branch must "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.

  • The judicial branch interprets the laws, The supreme court and lower federal courts make up the federal judiciary, or federal court system.
