Storyboard Text

  • Introduction
  • I love the old man, but in order to never see that eye again, I shall kill him!
  • Conflict
  • Ugh, it's still not open!
  • Rising Action
  • Oops! Darn it!
  • Who's there?
  • The narrator lived with an old man and took care of him. However, one of the old man's eyes greatly disturbed the narrator. He therefore decided to try and kill the old man so he would never have to see the eye again.
  • Climax
  • Day after day, the narrator spied on the old man while he was sleeping, hoping to find the right moment to kill him, but the old man's eye was always closed.
  • Falling Action
  • We have searched your house from top to bottom already. It seems like you are good to go!
  • Thank you for your time. Would you like to sit down and have something to eat?
  • One day, the old man's eye was finally open. When the narrator slipped his hand on the lamp, the old man's eye widened with fear. He stayed awake for a long time, frightened.
  • Resolution
  • The narrator lunged at the old man and pressed him underneath the bed. The old man screamed once and then was silent. Afterwards, the narrator cleaned up the mess that he had made.
  • Officers came to the narrator's door the next day. They searched but couldn't find anything. The narrator was very smug and invited them to sit down.
  • Hah! I knew it!
  • As the narrator sat there, he started hearing a thumping sound. As it grew louder and louder, he grew convinced that the officers could hear it. At last, he couldn't take it anymore and confessed.
  • THUMP. THUMP. THUMP.
  • I confess, I confess! I killed the old man, okay?!
