the monsters are due on maple st. theme: "think before you do something you'll regret".
Charile Shoots and KIlls Pete
The residents on Maple St. start to swarm towards Les Goodman, accusing him. They also make him feel defensive and uncomfortable because they are desperate for answers and have not stopped to think about what problems it might cause. They were practically bullying him because they were calling him odd, weird, and they were accusing him with only mean opinions. They were making him feel like the odd man out.
The residents on Maple St. began chasing Tommy. Charlie blamed Tommy after he murdered Pete Van Horn because was desperate and was trying to find a scapegoat causing Tommy to feel pressure, uncomfortable, and in an awkward position. Tommy & his mother are running as everybody turns on them.
Charlie was scared and nervous and because he saw adark figure approaching Maple St. without thinking he fired a gun at the figure and killed him. Charlie did not even stop to think about the logic behind an "alien " or something else that came to kill them, because he did not think he killed someone and caused more violence an dproblems then there already was.
