Storyboard Text

  •       Paul Moves to Tangerine
  • Paul goes to his room
  • Muck Fire
  • It was big-two stories high--and very white, with aqua trim, like a Miami Dolphins football helmets. So Paul though his house was a Miami's Dolphins Helmets.
  • First day at Tangerine Middle School
  • I retraced my steps through the great room, went up the stairs, and turned right. I had to squeeze into my bedroom pass a stack of boxes. Paul had get to get pass a bunch of boxes in front of his door to get in his room.
  • First Soccer Game
  • Muck fires don't go out. They're burning all the time. Burning right under the ground, all the time. Sometimes the rain damp them down, but they are still smoldering. Wayne Told Paul and his Mom that muck fires will keep burning forever.
  • Meeting Luis and going to the Tangerine Orchard
  • You? You think you can play on my team? What do you think this is, Lake Windsor Middle School?
  • We formed a circle around the couch at midfield. Betty Bright extended her long arm into the circle. Each player put a hand on top of hers. She yelled "Who are we?" and we yelled back "War Eagles!"
  • "So how do you like the tangerine business?" "I like it a lot." "Is that right" What do you like about it?" "The way it smells. I like how is smells out here." "I guess I like how it taste, too"
