The Call to Adventure
Refusing the Call
Wealthy family in Geneva, Switzerland. Our hero loses his mother at 17. Gifted, he masters the works of forgotten alchemists.
Crossing the Threshold
Our gifted Hero attends the University at Ingolstadt and soon masters sciences. While attending Professor Waldman's class ("Mentor"), he becomes obsessed with creating life and reanimation. .
Tests: Disgusted and feels ill
Obsessed and working without rest in secrecy, he falls ill. Having lost his sense of humanity, friends and family, he still persists in his endeavor despite his guilt, blaming it on his lack of control over his fate.
Tests: The Monster kills his little Brother. Justine gets blamed.
One stormy night, after months of relentless work, he successfully creates the 8 foot monster. Victor has accepted his "call".
The Monster awakes. Victor realizes he made a terrible mistake and runs away, wandering through the streets of Ingolstadt. His friend Henry brings back Victor to Geneva and helps him recover
The monster he has created is evil and kills his young brother William. All innocence is lost. The death of Justine, the "Scapegoat" symbolizes the end of righteousness.
