  • Both of you quiet! Congress has decided that any new states and territories will be slave or free depending on its position on the 30-36 parallel
  • Then you southerners would have more power in congress to have it all over the U.S.!
  • The Nullification
  • I have come from South Carolina to say that our state does not except these taxes! We will secede if they are not lifted!
  • Then I'll send troops down to make sure you do pay you're taxes, and don't secede!
  • The Fugitives and Georgia
  • Back to Georgia!
  • Based on the Fugitive Slave Law slave owners can bring BACK their slaves that escaped into the north.
  • Why is that slave going back Georgia?
  • Two politicians are arguing about how new states will be stated as as anti-slavery or pro-slavery. Congress has decided on the Missouri Compromise. Every new state/territories will be free or slave depending on the 30 36 parallel.
  • Dred Scott and the Kansas-Nebraska Act
  • Dred Scott is Guilty! A new act will be replacing the Missouri Compromise, because its unconstitutional.
  • The politician from South Carolina goes to Washington DC to declare that they will not pay their taxes. Andrew Jackson then threatens to send troops down to S.C. to ensure that the state does not secede.
  • Election of 1860 and States Rights
  • Abraham Lincoln has been elected! Soon enough all of us southerners will lose all of our state rights!
  • The politician is viewing a slave that is being returned to Georgia due to the Fugitive Slave Act in the 1850 Compromise. Georgia supported this in the new Georgia Platform.

  • I, Alexander Stephens from Georgia will be the Vice President of the new C.S.A.
  • The politician is now at the Supreme Court witnessing the Dred Scott Case. During this the Kansas-Nebraska Act nullified the Missouri Compromise, so now that states vote if their state is slave or free.
  • Slaves couldn't even sue in the first place. They are property!
  • The politician is visiting a senator from Georgia. The senator believes his state should secede for the sake of their economic rights.
  • True. Us Georgians will lose a lot on economics. My state should secede! I know a man who could help us.
  • The politician is now visiting the secession of the newly formed C.S.A. Alexander Stephens announces his position in the secession. Also that the debate in Georgia is over. The state secedes with the rest of the south.
  • My state has finally decided to secede! I knew Stephens could help us southerners.
