  • grandmother, how can all citizens of the US vote for what president they want?
  • yeah, how!?
  • not all citizens were able to vote till the 1920s. Believe it or not ...
  • what do you mean?
  • why couldn't they all vote?
  • only men were allowed to vote until Susan Anthony stood up and fought for equal rights.
  • so she fought for women being able tovote and it worked ?
  • yes it worked because their were a lot of women on her side . She fought for it by bringing it to the government and convincing them to believe all men and women should have equal rights.
  • how'd she fight for it?
  • when exactly did it happen?
  • where?
  • it happened in D.C. on August 19th.
  • It changed history all around the world!
  • How come!? were people mad about women being able to vote in the US?
  • It changed history around the whole world because now every women in every state and country were able to vote .
  • In fact it was the most important event that happened in the 1920s because now every citizen that's a women has a right to speak up were they live and pick their presidential candidate!
  • oh cool!
  • that's so interesting!
