Act 3 Scene 2 Line 259-261
If that's what you say, fight a duel with me and prove it.
You're on. Let's do it.
Act 3 Scene 2 Line 277-283
Can you hurt me anymore than by saying that you hate me?
Act 3 Scene 2 Line 287-88
In the beginning, Lysander and Hermia love each other. They plan to run away with each other until Lysander falls in love with Helena. I would feel as though our love didn't go as planned. This supports my quote because Lysander wants to fight Demetrius for Helena, completely not going as planned with Hermia.
Act 4 Scene 1 Line 165-68
Hermia trying to understand why Lysander doesn't love her anymore demonstrates their love not going as planned. If this had happened to me, ranting like Hermia did would help me express my heartbreak. This supports my quote because Hermia expressing her confusion and heartbreak shows that their love took a detour.
This proves the theme because Hermia and Lysander tried to sneak out of Athens to get married so when Lysander says he hates hermia and love she Helena it comes as a surprise to her proving love doesn't no always go as planned. MF
This quote supports the theme of love doesn't always go as planned because for Egues he assumed his daughter would marry Demitrius and not betray him and marry Lysander. MF
