I tried not to think about Johnny, that stiff body back in the hospital wasn't Johnny. Johnny was somewhere else, maybe asleep in the lot, or playint the pinball machine.
This is the scene where Johnny died and Ponyboy is convincing himself tat he's not dead he's still in Windrixville safe. This is also the part where Dally runs out to rob the store. This would be memory moment because is remebering watching Dally run and all the things him and Johnny did together.
This is the scene where Pony is wondering how Bob really was when he wasn't drunk and if he had a brother that wanted him to stop being so wild. This would be tough questions because Pony didn't know what Bob was really like, and never got to find out.
What was Bob like? Did he have a kid brother who idolized him? Maybe a big brother who kept begging him to stop being so wild.
"It's not your fault that Bob is dead, it wasn't you that had the knife it was your black haired friend."
This would be memory moment because Pony has convinced himself that he killed bob not Johnny; it almost seems like he is trying to erase ever knowing Johnny.
"No Johnny's not dead! I had the knife I killed Bob! Johnny's still alive!"
In this scene Randy came to visit Ponyboy to talk about court the next day, and how Pony probly won't get in trouble because it was Johnny that killed Bob not Pony, and Pony started freaking out saying Johnny is not dead.
