Storyboard Text

  • Ch. 7: The Knothole
  • Why was it filled in?
  • Darn, that means no more presents for us.
  • Ch. 8: True Identities?
  • I can't wait for Atticus to come home and see this!
  • It's lovely, Jem!
  • Ch. 9: The Argument with Francis
  • What are you talking about?
  • Your father is dishonoring the family!
  • When Boo's brother cemented the knothole, Scout looks at this as losing presents while Jem cries. This form of analysis from Jem proves that he is a more mature individual compared to Scout.
  • Ch. 10: Atticus' Past
  • I'm One-Shot Finch!
  • Ok?!
  • The make a snowman to replicate Mr. Avery; in a sense mocking him. On the other hand, Boo makes soap figurines of the two kids in an attempt to give them a gift. The kids are still immature ans still have a long ways to go to adulthood.
  • Ch. 11: Mrs. Henry Lafayette Dubose
  • Don't mutter at me. Refer to me as ma'am!
  • In chapter 9, Francis makes fun of Scout for having Atticus as her father. She disregards Francis' comments showing simple signs of maturity.
  • The kids think that true courage is found between a man and his gun. Such that happened when Atticus, a very proper father, shoots a "mad dog" lurking within the neighborhood.
  • Mrs. Dubose was very ill due to an addiction to morphine. She made Jem read to her as a "punishment" in order to help her re mediate her illness. Atticus wanted his kids to understand the moral value of courage while growing up.
