Hello my name is Chris. My sophomore year of high school my track and field coach told me that i wouldn't amount to anything in Track. I ran the high hurdles but i wasn't the best.
He mentally beat me down everyday at practice my sophomore year and i vowed that i would prove him wrong. I promised myself that i would put him in his place
Then my Junior year i got a new coach. He believed in me and gave me a lot of confidence. I worked my butt off that year and all the while i remembered that one coach who doubted me. I remembered the promise i made to myself and i was ready for my revenge
My junior year i ended up winning the county title in the high hurdles and got some of the best times i had ever had that year, but my run of success wasn't over yet. I still had regionals
i made it to the regional track meet that year and i was an underrated runner. But with the help of God i ran the fastest i had ever run the high hurdles and i qualified for the state track meet . I qualified for the one thing that my old coach said i couldn't do
At the state track meet i came from behind to finish 5th in the high hurdles and medaled. My new coach drove me to want to be better and i couldn't thank him enough, and throughout the whole thing God kept me safe. i learned to be a bigger person and i got better because of the ordeals i had to endure
