Storyboard Text

  •
  • On the night of the 1st of September, 11 pm.
  • In the bakery of Thomas Farynor, a fire had started. The exact cause was unknown, fires were common at the time because of the drought.  But it was thankfully put out...
  • Or so we thought...
  • 3 hours later...
  • Crap!
  • By 1 am, the fire spreads to surrounding houses.
  • Melted pottery found later show the fire was up to 1700 degrees hot.
  • Encouraged by a strong wind, the fire destroys more than four fifths of London.
  • The fire lasts for three days and destroys  100,000 houses. Only 8-9 deaths are recorded.
  • As an attempt to save records, they are moved to a safe house. Ironically, the safe house burns and the archives didn't.
  • Robert Hubbert, from Rouen, France, falsely confessed for starting the fire...
  • How could I let this happen?!
  • Thomas Farriner
  • I started the fire!
  • ...And was executed.
