Storyboard Text

  • Montressor convinces Fortunato to go with him to his house for rare wine.
  • Montressor and Fortunato stray from the festival and head towards Montressor's house
  • Fortunato and Montressor Descend into the entrance of the catacomb.
  • Montressor runs into Fortunato at the fair during Mardi Gras. He tells Fortunato that he has a rare wine that he would like to be evaluated. Montressor says that Fortunato looks sick and that he would ask someone else to evaluate it. Fortunato becomes enraged and goes with Montressor.
  • Montressor invites Fortunato to drink more wine causing him to become even intoxicated. Fortunato is unaware of Montressor's true intention.
  • Montressor brings Fortunato back to his house where Montressor got all his servants to leave so there would be no witnesses to the murder.
  • Montressor and Fortunato descend further and further into the inner core of the dark, deep, dreary, wet, and cold catacombs.
  • Montressor brings Fortunato to his house and together they walk down to the catacombs under the house.
  • Through his plan of deceit and revenge, Montressor delivers Fortunato to his grave.
  • Through the lure of a drink of rare wine, Montressor provides Fortunato with more wine and deceitfully leads him on a journey that will result in his death.
  • Montressor's plan is to take Fortunato to a place where many have been buried and none have been discovered. Fortunato is too drunk and does not realize the danger he is about to face.
  • In search of the rare wine, Fortunato finds his death. Montressor uses what Fortunato knows and likes best to lead him to a place of no return.
