  • What is this red bump on my neck? I must go see a doctor to see what is wrong.
  • That bump on your neck is a boil. Due to your boil not being too severe, you're treatment will include taking the antibiotic, FLUCLOXACILLIN.
  • You have boils and since they are not severe, your treatment includes taking the antibiotic FLUCOXACILLIN!
  • Boils are an assemblage of pus that forms under your skin. The dosages for children under the age of 2 is 2.5ml, children between the ages of 2-10 is 5ml and an adult is 10ml all taken four times a day.

  • The side effects include feeling sick, skin rash and Diarrhea. These symptoms effect less than 1 in 10 people.

  • Flucloxacillin is used to treat bacterial infections. Flucloxacillin functions by changing the structure of the bacterial cell wall allowing fluid to penetrate into the cell. As a result the bacterial cell literally ruptures.

  • Taking Flucoxacillin is highly recommended and once you start you must continue to take it after to boil is gone for a few days.
