One cause of the Sugar and Stamp Act was that since the war was fought mainly to protect the colonies,the colonists should help pay back the debt.
The effect was, the colonists were very angry.
The Sugar Act was eventually repealed, but the British felt that the Stamp Act was fair and it wasn't repealed.
The cause of The Boston Massacre was that a colonist threw something at the British which made a man's gun fire. The soldiers thought that that meant that they should fire, so they did.

The effect was 5 colonists died. Three died imminently and two died later.
Eight soliders were arrested and put on trial. Six were found not guilty.
