  • The Chromebook
  • Personal Hygiene is Important
  • Live for Now
  • During your high school career, you will have a chromebook It may be annoying at the start, but you'll grow to appreciate it later. The chromebook gets rid of some text books you might've had otherwise. It also means that you write a lot less overall, which will make your hand rejoice. Make sure it's charged, because you could need it at anytime.
  • Time Management
  • Personal Hygiene is important. You don’t want to be smelly around all the older kids. Taking the time to make yourself look presentable, shows a lot of self pride. The compliments of, “Hey, lookin good today” feel great. If you’re lucky, someone you like might say that, and then you’ll be scrambling to think of a compliment yourself.
  • Be Mature
  • Live for Now. Right now you are still a kid, and you have so much life to live for. Don't think about the future and get all anxious because it ruins the experience. High school is supposed to be the best 4 years of your life, not the worst. Hang out with friends and get to know people, because once you graduate the whole world gets a lot more serious. You better hope you're not the one left behind when that happens.
  • Don't Get Too Full Of Yourself
  • Knowing what you had to do in middle school was easy, but high school is different. You don't get the extra day to turn something in if you forgot to. Teachers are a lot less leniant, and expect better quality work. When there's a project going on in multiple assignments you need to set away some time for it. Otherwise you'll end up doing it the night before. Doing it before means a bad grade, which means maybe no diploma.
  • You’re expected to be mature. Teachers don’t tolerate the rough-housing that was allowed in middle school. You’re in high school now, and you need to distinguish yourself from younger classmen. The off and on jokes get old pretty quickly, and if you act up enough you might find yourself sitting in Mr. Hatcher’s office.
  • Don’t get too full of yourself. Sometimes it’s a good thing to be confident in yourself, but to a certain extent. Try to be that kind of person with a positive attitude, and a nothing-can-get-me-down lifestyle, but don’t get too caught up in yourself. Sometimes you could say something to the wrong person, at the wrong time, and it may be a REALLY WRONG decision.
