  • During the sixteenth century, people start getting infected by communicable disease known as smallpox.
  • Variolation was used as a defence mechanism against smallpox. It was done when one slept next to or wore the clothes of the infected.
  • We'll let people sleep next to her so they get part of the virus, which will let them be immune to smallpox.
  • Look what your stupid idea has done? How many people are dead now?
  • So you had cowpox and now you can't get smallpox anymore?
  • Edward Jenner, a well-known scientist, interrogated previously infected people on how they recovered.
  • Yes, I guess.
  • Edward Jenner modifies variolation into a smallpox vaccine. He introduces it to people.
  • The community's theory was that Jenner's vaccine would turn them into a cow as it contained cowpox viruses.
  • Are you going to use Jenner's vaccine?
  • No, I'm not taking any risks of turning into a cow.
