Storyboard Text

  • messenger how can i fix the generator if i am running messages all day.
  • please don,t let me get a boring job
  • i wunder what this says
  • a door.
  • Lina and doon are getting assigned random jobs lina is assigned Pipeworks Labourer and Doon gets Messenger. THey end up switching jobs because doon wants to fix the generator. I chose to include this scene because without the generator all light in the city goes out. Because there is no sun, the people of Ember would not survive without light.
  • 2 Lina is putting together a letter that she found in a black box that was opened . When she found box it was empty and poppy was ripping up the letter and eating it. This scene is important to the story because the letter says something about Instructions and the Pipeworks. Without this letter, Lina and Doon wouldn’t have found the mystery door.
  • Doon finds a secret door in a dark tunnel of the Pipeworks and then Lina goes to find Doon to tell him about what the letter says. She thinks the letter is about a door. Doon asks Lina to meet at the pipeworks the next day. When they meet they go down to find the door together. It was locked. They started to leave and they heard footsteps of someone walking. They heard a key go into a lock and unlock a door. Lina tells Doon that she recognizes the person’s jacket and hat.
  • I think that at the end of the novel, Lina and Doon tell the mayor about a secret door in the Pipeworks They find and use a key to open the door in the Pipeworks and find a clue for how to find or make a moveable light. They get a group of people to help make a moveable light and use it to go out into the Unknown Regions and see if there is anything out there other than darkness.
